Terms of Service

This is a standard-shape terms of service for a small consumer event app, not a substitute for legal advice. The placeholder sections — especially governing law and the arbitration clause — are real legal decisions that need a licensed attorney's input before publishing, not a template fill-in.

1. Agreement

By creating an account, hosting an event, or RSVPing through Envvite (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an Envvite account. If you are under 18, you may only use the Service with a parent or guardian's permission. Envvite is not directed to children under 13, and account creation is not intended for anyone under that age.

3. Your account

You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for anything that happens under your account. Tell us right away if you suspect unauthorized access. We may disable an account that violates these Terms.

4. Hosting an event

• You're responsible for the content of your event (title, description, cover image, guest list) and for how you use guest contact information you collect through Envvite — only use it for the event itself, not to add people to a separate mailing list without their consent.
• You can add co-hosts, who get the same ability to edit the event and see the guest list that you have.
• Deleting an event removes it and its guest list/RSVP data.

Envvite is the technology platform; you choose who to invite and provide their contact information. By sending an invitation through Envvite — by email, SMS, or link — you confirm you're authorized to give us that person's contact details and permitted to contact them the way you've chosen, that the invitation is a genuine personal or organizational event invite rather than unsolicited advertising or impersonation, and that the event details are accurate. 5. RSVPing / joining an event

You can respond to an invitation with or without creating an account. If you RSVP as a guest without an account, the host can still see the response details (name, contact info if you provided it, RSVP status) you submitted.

6. Content you upload

You keep ownership of photos and content you upload. By uploading, you give Envvite a license to store, display, and transmit it as needed to operate the Service (for example, showing your event's cover photo to invitees). Don't upload anything you don't have the right to share, or anything illegal, harassing, or infringing.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use Envvite to send spam or unsolicited marketing; harass, impersonate, or harm others; attempt to access accounts or data that aren't yours; or interfere with the Service's normal operation. See our Acceptable Use Policy for the full list.

8. Communications

By providing an email address or phone number, you consent to receive transactional messages related to your account and any event you host or attend (invitations, RSVP confirmations, verification codes). You can opt out of non-essential messages at any time. Text messages are sent through Telnyx or Twilio depending on the event's country — reply STOP to any Envvite text to opt out, or HELP for support. Message and data rates may apply. 9. Premium subscriptions

Envvite offers Free, Premium, and Pro plans. Premium and Pro are paid, auto-renewing subscriptions billed exclusively through Apple's App Store or Google Play in-app purchase — Envvite does not collect your payment card directly. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel through the App Store's or Google Play's own subscription settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep paid-plan access through that date. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies, not by Envvite directly.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any invitation will be delivered or seen in time for your event.

By creating an account, hosting an event, or RSVPing, you agree that your use of the Service is entirely at your own discretion and risk. You are solely responsible for the content you post, the guests you invite, and how you and the people you interact with through Envvite use the Service.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Envvite isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including a missed or undelivered invitation. Envvite is not liable for any misuse of the Service by you or any other user, or for any dispute, harm, or loss arising between users (for example, between a host and a guest) rather than caused directly by Envvite. 12. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of [State], without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved [in the courts of [County/State] / by binding arbitration in [location] under [AAA/JAMS] rules], and you agree to bring claims only in your individual capacity, not as part of a class action. — This entire clause is a real legal decision (venue, arbitration vs. court, class-action waiver enforceability varies by state) and must be finalized with an attorney, not left as this placeholder.]

13. Changes to these Terms

We'll update the date at the top of this page when these Terms change, and post a notice in the app for material changes.
